Teens / High School

Teen Fashion Clinic

**Summer and Fall 2020 will be online in a slightly different format than our in-person Teen Fashion Clinic. Enroll now and stay tuned for more details. **

Our program specifically for high students provides an introduction to the fashion design process, from conception to garment completion. The curriculum is a taste of SFD’s adult certificate program and is actually taught by our accomplished alumni.

Students will leave the clinic with basic skills in pattern making, fashion sketching, and sewing, as well as an illustrated capsule collection of their design and a simple garment that they sewed themselves. On the final day students will present their capsule collection and garment to family and friends, and receive a certificate of completion.

If you are interested in fashion and sewing as a hobby or are considering post-secondary fashion degree programs, this is the program for you!

Open to high school students 9th-12th grade.

Supplies: Most supplies provided. Students will need to purchase their own fabric for the construction project.

Fee: $920 + $30 nonrefundable fee

Learn how to choose the best color combinations for your next collection!

This eight-session "lunch hour" workshop will explore the basics of color theory. You'll learn how to recreate the color palettes you see, pick out which colors work best together, and make any color work for you.
